Kim started swimming at age five but it wasn’t until she was 10 years old that she began swimming competitively. She was a member of the North Suburban Aquatics Club (Northbrook, IL) for 3 years and swam competitively through high school. She is now a US Master’s swimmer and triathlete. Kim began teaching swim lessons when she turned 16 and has been teaching ever since. She is married and has three daughters to whom she has passed on her love of swimming.
Kim instructs the following:
Ages 12-36 Months
Each swimmer must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Swimmer has not prior swimming experience, this class will allow the student to become familiar with the water while having the comfort of the parent to work with them.
PRE GIZMO JR
3 Year Olds
A beginner level class for children new to swimming who may or may not put their face in the water. Designed for swimmers who need assistance when in the water, working on the fundamentals of kicking, taking strokes, and breath control.
GIZMO JR. 1
AGES 4 - 5
A beginner level class for swimmers who may or may not have had prior swim lessons. Designed for children learning to swim independently. The class will focus on safety skills and the fundamentals of kicking, taking strokes, side breathing, and backstroke.
GIZMO JR. 2
AGES 4 - 5
An intermediate level class for swimmers able to swim freestyle and float on their backs independently. Students are working on effective side breathing, developing backstroke technique, and increasing the amount of consecutive strokes. Children should be able to swim at least 10 strokes of both freestyle and backstroke before entering this class.
